Building Inspector
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the on-site liaison between the contractor, design team, and owner for all inspection-related activities
Observe and inspect all phases of construction including site work, structural systems, architectural elements, MEP installations, and finishes
Ensure contractor compliance with approved drawings, specifications, building codes, and regulatory requirements
Monitor construction progress and identify any deviations, deficiencies, or potential risks
Maintain accurate and detailed records including daily inspection reports, logs, photographs, and as-built documentation
Assist in resolving field issues, coordinating with contractors and design professionals to address RFIs and non-conformance items
Support punch list development, final inspections, and project closeout activities
Promote adherence to safety standards and quality control procedures on-site
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in construction inspection, building inspection, or related field services
Strong experience on large-scale, multi-phase construction projects, preferably within aviation, transportation, or public infrastructure
Solid understanding of construction practices, materials, and applicable building codes and standards
Proven ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents
Demonstrated expertise in construction observation, field coordination, and QA/QC practices
Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with FAA and airport authority standards a plus
Ability to effectively coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced construction environment
