Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• ICC B1, WACEL Foundation or ACI Reinforced Concrete.
• Strong knowledge of Florida Building Code and compliance processes.
• 6+ years of residential or related code compliance experience.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Experience with budgets, forecasts, and financial management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day to day operations and strategic growth of the Building Inspections Department, including staff management, project delivery, financial performance, resource planning and quality.
• Maintain approximately 40% billable field utilization, including performing or supporting inspections, site visits, project activities, client engagements, and other billable field services as appropriate.
• Review plans, certifications, inspections findings, reports and technical documentation for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Provide technical and operational guidance to plans examiners, clients, contractor, architects, and other stakeholders.
• Assist with code interpretations, field discrepancies, construction deficiencies, and complex project or operational issues.
• Ensure required reports, reviews, inspections, and documentation are completed accurately, professionally, and in accordance with established procedures.
