Job Description

• Maintain plant mechanical systems (boilers, air compressors & HVAC units) in a high state of readiness and efficiency, ensuring they are kept clean and orderly.
• Maintain filters and dust collection devices in the plant air handling units, including vacuuming and changing filters periodically.
• Engage with vendors and request quotes for repairs.
• Coordinate and monitor contractors/vendors on site.
• Keep plant entrances, exits, and sidewalks free of snow and ice.
• Paint areas in the plant as instructed.
• Monitor the plant's dust collection system, including dust collectors, bag houses, trim blowers, and return air fans, and assist in maintaining these systems.
• Perform building maintenance and plant cleaning projects as necessary or assigned.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Maintain records, time reports, and work orders for performed work.
• Assist maintenance mechanics as necessary or assigned.
• Cross-train others as assigned.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems.
• Proficiency in using powered hand tools for maintenance duties.
• General knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems is desired.
• Ability to assist outside vendors in repair and installation of equipment.

The pay range for this role at the specified location is $24.15 - $38.00/hour. The actual rate may vary based on education, skills, experience, performance, shift, and location.
