Company: One of the largest Building Envelope Contractors in California; growing Façade Division.

We are in search of an experienced Sales Estimator. The candidate must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bid proposals for private and public projects.
• Collaborate with other estimators.
• Determine union requirements, bid schedules, and review job specifications.
• Visit job sites and attend pre‑construction meetings.
• Review contracts, maintain bid process schedules, and communicate bid status.
• Select best options for systems and materials, solicit and review vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Perform labor reviews, maintain bid spreadsheets, and negotiate with various clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience estimating within the glazing industry on projects of various sizes.
• High School Diploma and some college coursework in Construction or Architectural Technology (certification or Associate’s degree).
• Knowledge of materials, machines, tools, and equipment used in the industry.
• Ability to read blueprints, architectural, and structural drawings.
• Ability to perform accurate take‑offs; familiarity with on‑screen take‑offs.
• Working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
• Understanding of manufacturers’ installation instructions.
• Excellent customer service, conflict‑resolution, communication, and negotiation skills.
• High level of attention to detail and self‑motivation.
