Job summary

TYG in New York City is seeking a Building Envelope Consultant to join our team, focusing on façade, roofing, and envelope systems across high-rise residential, commercial, and institutional projects. You will perform investigations, prepare detailed reports and drawings, develop design documents, and provide construction administration while staying current with NYC Local Law 11 (FISP) requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture or Engineering.
Minimum of three years of experience in building envelope consulting, façade restoration, roofing, or related practice.
Knowledge of NYC façade rules including FISP or Local Law 11 is highly desirable.
Strong technical writing, detailing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform façade and roof investigations, condition assessments, leak investigations, and field inspections.
Prepare detailed reports, technical drawings, and repair or replacement recommendations.
Develop design documents for façade, roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope systems.
Provide construction administration services including shop drawing review, submittals, RFIs, and site observations.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers to deliver practical solutions.
Stay current with NYC regulations including FISP (Local Law 11) and other building code requirements.
