Job summary

Facade Today in New York is seeking an experienced Building Envelope Consultant to lead projects for new and existing buildings in the area. You will manage investigations, design reviews, and construction-phase services with rising leadership responsibilities and direct client interaction.

The role requires 3–10 years in building envelope consulting, a relevant Bachelor’s degree, and licensure preferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, or Construction Management.
• 3–10 years of building envelope construction and consulting experience.
• Professional licensure (PE/ RA/ AIA) preferred or achievable.
• Familiarity with ASTM, AAMA and industry standards is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage building envelope projects from investigation to construction administration.
• Perform condition assessments and forensic investigations using non-destructive and destructive testing.
• Conduct design reviews for constructibility, durability, and waterproofing of foundation systems, walls, façades, and roofing assemblies.
• Oversee enclosure testing activities and perform testing when needed.
• Serve as the primary client contact, writing proposals, and managing project scopes and service fees.
• Coordinate with contractors, specialists, and clients, attending meetings and conferences as necessary.
