Job summary

Donohoe Construction Company seeks an experienced Superintendent to join our Building Enhancements team in the DMV area, focusing on on-site leadership, scheduling, and cost control on active projects.

The role requires 5+ years in supervision of construction work, strong communication skills, and ability to coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors while maintaining safety and quality. The position is based at multiple DMV project sites with no remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction preferred but not required.
• 3+ years experience for Assistant Superintendent or 5+ years for Superintendent.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work at any DMV location.

Responsibilities

• Plan on-site staffing, cost control, and supervision.
• Ensure projects meet time and cost objectives for self-performed and subcontracted work.
• Maintain Owner/Architect relationship.
• Ensure safety measures meet policy.
• Implement quality control at the job site.
• Support Project Management with scheduling and constructability reviews.
• Develop site logistics and occupied space plans.
• Participate in coordination meetings with Owner/Architect/Contractor.
• Develop and enforce a QA/QC program with subcontractors.
