Job summary

CBRE, a global leader in commercial real estate services, seeks a Building Engineer in Zebulon, GA. You will monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling to ensure reliable operations.

You will support preventive maintenance, energy management, and compliance with codes, while mentoring others and contributing to CBRE's values of respect, integrity, service and excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience (or combination of experience/education).
• Universal CFC certification is preferred and licenses may be required locally.
• Physical ability to lift/carry heavy loads and meet the role's physical requirements.
• Ability to exercise judgment from analysis of multiple information sources.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems to meet standards.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety directives for building operations.
• Maintain an energy management program to optimize system efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow safety policies for hazardous materials handling and keep a clean, safe workplace.
• Review inspections of fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure performance within design specs.
• Share knowledge and mentor others within the function and related disciplines.
