CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer to maintain and repair building systems, including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, at a large San Jose site. The role involves preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and inspections on a swing shift (5:45pm-6:15am, Thurs-Sat, every other Wed).
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 4–5 years of related experience; Universal CFC certification preferred. Strong communication and MS Office skills are expected.

As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will be involved in maintaining and repairing building systems—including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and HVAC—while ensuring compliance with safety codes and energy efficiency standards. This role is a swing shift that will support preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and inspections, onsite at a large company in San Jose, CA.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Building Engineer position is $45 per hour and the maximum salary is $50 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
