Job summary

Eccalon LLC is seeking a Building Engineer to oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and reliability of HQ building systems. You will act as the technical lead for facilities operations and ensure a safe, well-maintained environment that supports executives, staff, and visitors.

The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a proactive, service-oriented mindset, with responsibility for lifecycle maintenance and compliance across multiple building systems.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as Building Engineer or Facilities Engineer, with senior-level responsibilities.
  • Strong expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical operations.
  • Experience supporting corporate offices or headquarters environments.
  • Ability to lead facilities operations independently and make sound technical decisions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor when interacting with executives and staff.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with CMMS and facilities documentation standards.
  • Experience leading vendor relationships and small project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all HQ building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life-safety systems
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for headquarters facilities operations
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolve complex building system issues
  • Develop, execute, and oversee preventative maintenance schedules and programs
  • Conduct regular inspections and walkthroughs to ensure building integrity, safety, and appearance
  • Coordinate and manage vendors, contractors, and service providers for repairs, inspections, and capital projects
  • Support executive offices, conference spaces, and high-profile meetings with priority service and minimal disruption
  • Maintain detailed maintenance logs, work orders, compliance records, and reports
  • Ensure compliance with all local codes, safety regulations, and corporate standards
  • Support sustainability, energy efficiency, and cost-control initiatives
  • Provide on-call or after-hours support as required for HQ operations
  • Mentor and guide junior building engineers or facilities staff, if applicable
