Job summary

Worth Ross Management Company (WRMC) is seeking a Building Engineer to oversee maintenance of luxury residential high-rise systems in East Denver.

You will lead preventative maintenance, supervise staff and vendors, and ensure safety, compliance, and resident satisfaction. The role requires strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety.

This on-site position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with on-call rotation and a competitive salary in the shown range.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in engineering or building maintenance.
• Experience with high-rise residential or commercial properties.
• Ability to read plans and drawings.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety compliance.
• Experience with energy efficiency and preventative maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, elevators and mechanical equipment.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs to maximize performance.
• Supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors, ensuring safety and quality.
• Coordinate inspections, repairs, and capital projects across the property.
• Monitor building performance and recommend operational improvements for energy efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Respond to building emergencies and participate in on-call rotation.
• Perform minor repairs and cosmetic maintenance as needed.
• Build strong relationships with residents, vendors, and management while delivering excellent service.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Building Engineer to oversee the maintenance, performance, and reliability of building systems within a luxury residential high-rise community.

This role is responsible for ensuring the property's mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety systems operate efficiently while leading preventative maintenance programs, coordinating vendors, and supporting the General Manager in maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and resident satisfaction.

What You\'ll Do

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, elevators, and mechanical equipment


• Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment performance and longevity


• Supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and vendor activities while ensuring quality workmanship and safety compliance


• Coordinate inspections, repairs, and capital maintenance projects throughout the property


• Monitor building performance, conduct energy efficiency evaluations, and recommend operational improvements


• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and documentation


• Respond to building emergencies and participate in an on-call rotation as needed


• Perform minor repairs, painting, and cosmetic maintenance when necessary


• Build strong relationships with residents, vendors, and management while delivering exceptional customer service

Requirements

What You Need to Succeed

• 3-5+ years of engineering or building maintenance experience, preferably in a high-rise residential, commercial, or hospitality environment


• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, elevator, and fire/life safety systems


• Experience developing and managing preventative maintenance programs


• Ability to read and interpret building plans and technical drawings


• Knowledge of building inspections, OSHA regulations, and safety compliance


• Experience with cooling towers, water-source heat pumps, domestic water systems, sump pumps, fire pumps, and trash compactor systems


• Experience coordinating vendors and contractors while maintaining high service standards


• Familiarity with BuildingLink or similar property/facility management software is a plus


• Strong leadership, communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
