The Critical Facilities Building Engineer (CFBE) has overall responsibility for all aspects of Mission Critical services and/or operations. The CFBE is the primary ABM Mission Critical point of contact for day-to-day operations. They will create an unwavering attitude and commitment to safety and reliability within the Mission Critical environment as they supervise Critical Facility Technicians, Assistant Critical Facility Managers, and outside contractors capable of achieving the goal of 100% availability of mission critical infrastructure. The CFBE will drive continual improvements to the operation by creating an expectation of learning and development of their staff.
Responsibilities include ensuring all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center operates efficiently, maintaining better than 99.999% uptime, and supervising staff and contractors to meet safety and operational standards.

Position requires managing physical assets, environmental conditions, and ensuring compliance with SLAs and change control activities. The role involves oversight of budgets, documentation, emergency responses, and staff scheduling.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree or 5-7+ years of relevant experience in mission critical environments, with preferred technical schooling or military experience. Management experience with at least 5 direct reports and 5+ years electrical experience are required.
The physical demands involve prolonged sitting, manual handling, and sensory engagement, suitable for an office and data center environment.
