Job summary

TORP Group is seeking an experienced Building Engineer for a Class A Office portfolio. You will be the primary contact for work orders and troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and roofing issues while coordinating with vendors.

Responsibilities include walking properties to spot maintenance needs, responding to tenant inquiries, reviewing work orders, and assisting with preventative maintenance and special projects. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Building Maintenance - commercial experience required
• Ability to work on automated systems
• Familiarity working with HVAC, electrical, plumbing and roofing
• Experience with chillers
• Experience testing chemical levels in water system

Responsibilities

• Walking properties to identify maintenance issues
• Responding to tenant concerns and inquiries
• Reviewing work orders on work order system
• Speaking with tenants face to face to understand their work order needs
• Troubleshooting plumbing and potential electrical needs
• Responding to fix-it items such as: general facilities, electrical, roofing, plumbing, HVAC
• Assisting with preventative maintenance
• Speaking with vendors for TI and Construction CapEx projects
• Meeting vendors at properties to open suites or provide access to electrical or equipment rooms
• Tracking work order status
• Communicating with Property Managers and team
• Ensuring landscaping is well kept
• Reviewing proposals for vendors to select vendors, alongside the Property Manager
• Setting up for special events and property projects, as needed
• Assisting with specialty projects

This property management firm is seeking a professional Building Engineer for a Class A Office portfolio. The position will be point of contact for resolving work orders, troubleshooting a variety of building issues for HVAC, plumbing, fire/life/safety issues and general maintenance, as well as communicating with vendors for specific needs. Must have EPA Certification!

• Walking properties to identify potential maintenance issues, before they become an issue
• Responding to tenant concerns and inquiries
