This position involves assisting with operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties and facilities.

Position: Building Engineer 1

Location: Cambridge

Responsibilities
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and more.
  • Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and respond to emergency situations.
  • Assist with installation, modification, and repair of building equipment and finishes.
  • Use technology such as smartphones, tablets, and building automation systems.
Key Competencies
  • Technical proficiency, initiative, flexibility, multitasking, sense of urgency.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting.
  • Technical training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or related fields.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Basic computing skills.
Additional Information
