Job summary

The Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Mobile Building Engineer I for our Corporate Advisory & Solutions team. This role focuses on comprehensive maintenance and operation across several properties, with emphasis on troubleshooting and keeping buildings running efficiently.

You will manage complex systems, mentor junior technicians, and coordinate with managers and contractors to resolve tenant issues while maintaining safety and compliance across sites.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • 3–5 years of related maintenance experience or equivalent trade certification.
  • CFC certification preferred or willingness to obtain; licenses required per local/state/national rules.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and adherence to company vehicle policy.
  • Basic computer skills including Outlook and work order/facility operation systems.
  • Familiar with fire/life safety equipment and procedures.
  • Proven track record of excellent customer service with tenants, vendors, and staff.
  • Ability to read/write English to understand manuals and write reports.
  • Knowledge of blueprints and code requirements.
  • Ability to work after hours, weekends, holidays, or emergencies as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain complex systems across multiple properties (HVAC, lighting, plumbing).
  • Develop advanced knowledge of HVAC, BAS, and electrical systems and diagnose complex issues.
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across properties.
  • Maintain inspection and work order records for each site.
  • Mentor and guide junior Mobile Maintenance technicians and assist with training.
  • Coordinate with property managers, contractors, and vendors across locations.
  • Inspect properties to ensure compliance and performance; coordinate contractor activities.
  • Follow safety protocols, use PPE, and maintain safety logs.
  • Communicate professionally with teammates, leadership, vendors, tenants, and client employees.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job description

The Mobile Building Engineer I I within Corporate Advisory & Solutions provides comprehensive maintenance and operational services across multiple properties with an emphasis on troubleshooting and ensuring efficient building operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain complex systems across multiple properties, including HVAC, lighting, and plumbing; develop advanced knowledge of HVAC, BAS, and electrical systems with the ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical systems.
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across properties.
  • Maintain records of inspections and work orders for each site.
  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior Mobile Maintenance technicians while assisting with training initiatives to improve team performance.
  • Partner with property managers, contractors, and vendors across multiple locations to ensure smooth operations and resolve tenant issues.
  • Perform inspections across multiple properties to ensure compliance and optimal performance, coordinating contractor activities across sites and reporting issues.
  • Follow safety protocols and use PPE for all tasks; enforce compliance with safety standards across all managed properties; maintain safety logs for each building under management.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with teammates, leadership team, vendors, tenants, and client employees in a professional manner, keeping the appropriate customer(s) informed/updated as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or GEDrequired
  • Three to fiveyears of job related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience
  • CFC Certification preferred or willingness to obtain as requested; possess engineering and trade licenses required according to local, state, or national requirements
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record with the ability to adhere to Use of Company Vehicle policy/procedures.
  • Basic working knowledge of laptop and phone applications for work order and facility operation systems as well as basic skills with Microsoft Outlook
  • Familiar with fire/life safety equipment/procedures
  • Proven track record for delivering excellent internal and external customer service; ability to successfully interact/communicatewith tenants/vendors/contractorsas well as teammates and leadership team
  • Familiarity with blueprints and code requirements
  • Ability to work after hours, weekends, holidays, and duringemergency situationsas necessary to meet the needs of the client
  • Possess competent knowledge of use and care of tools
  • Ability to read and write English in order to understand manualsandprocedures,and to write reports.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds; perform physically demanding tasks such as stooping, crouching, and kneeling.
