Colliers in Joliet, IL is seeking a Building Engineer to maintain and repair the property’s mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems. You will manage preventative maintenance, respond to client requests, and coordinate work orders to minimize downtime.
A minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in building maintenance is required, along with a valid driver’s license and a CFC certification (or ability to obtain).

As the Building Engineer (fleet vehicle provided), you are familiar with maintenance systems and equipment. You bring strong organizational skills, a customer‑centric approach, and a positive outlook to everything you do.
You'll be responsible for preventative maintenance, necessary maintenance, and most repairs to the buildings mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems, ensuring the systems are running efficiently - and to ensure the safety of our clients and their properties. You will respond to client requests, prioritize, complete work orders, and follow up to ensure minimal downtime and communication.

Approximate hourly Range for this Role: $32.60 to $37.40 USD
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
