NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC is seeking a Mid-Level Building Enclosure Consultant to join the Tampa, Florida area team. The role blends field investigations, testing, and consulting on enclosure systems for commercial and institutional facilities, with opportunities for growth.

The ideal candidate has hands-on field experience, understands enclosure systems, and seeks to expand technical and professional consulting skills within a collaborative project environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in building enclosure/roofing/waterproofing consulting or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in engineering, architecture, construction management or building science.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; strong written/verbal communication.
• Familiarity with ASTM/AAMA/TAS standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual building enclosure assessments and moisture surveys.
• Assist with forensic evaluations of enclosure and roofing systems.
• Conduct field testing of roofing, waterproofing, fenestration, and curtain walls.
• Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals.
• Support QA observations and site inspections for conformance.
• Prepare concise, technically sound reports documenting observations and findings.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and design professionals.
• Occasional travel, in-state and out-of-state.
