Job summary

Yuma County, AZ is seeking a custodial worker to clean and maintain county buildings under close supervision. You will sweep, vacuum, mop floors, dust and polish furniture, clean restrooms, and assist with loading supplies while following safety procedures.

The position requires reliable attendance and the ability to work in varied weather conditions. A high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related work experience are required, plus a valid Arizona driver's license and background

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent; one year related work experience.
• Must possess valid Arizona driver’s license.
• Background check and Sheriff's background investigation required.
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing methods and safety precautions.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and work under varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors in hallways, stairs, and offices.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and wash basins; restock supplies.
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment; report maintenance issues.
• Assist with lifting and moving heavy objects; respond to spills and urgent clean-ups.
