Young Truck & Trailer Center - Kaysville is seeking part-time Building Custodians to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming facilities. The role offers daytime or after-hours shifts and opportunities to grow into a full-time position.

You will perform daily cleaning, floor care, exterior grounds, and help with events. We value reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a family‑owned environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuum, floor buffers, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift/move items, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies is a plus.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential.
• Great work ethic.
• Schedule: Daytime or after-hours available.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintenance: Daily cleaning tasks and restroom maintenance.
• Floor care: Clean and care for different flooring types.
• Security and safety: Monitor building and follow emergency procedures.
• Exterior maintenance: Groundskeeping.
• Supply management: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies.
• Communication: Report maintenance issues to relevant personnel.
• Special events: Support with events including setup and cleanup.
• Flexibility: Adapt schedules and tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and Maintenance: Daily cleaning tasks and restroom maintenance
• Floor Care: Clean and care for different types of flooring in the building
• Security and Safety: Monitor the building for any security concerns and report any suspicious activities, as well as be familiar with emergency procedures and evacuation plans
• Exterior Maintenance: Groundskeeping
• Supply Management: Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and replenish as needed
• Communication: Report any maintenance issues to appropriate personnel and address any other building needs
• Special Events: Assist with events held in the building by providing support, including setup and cleanup
• Flexibility: Be flexible to handle unexpected situations and adjust schedules/tasks as needed.
