Job summary

A leading facilities services company is looking for a Building Controls Technician in Austin, TX. This role involves designing control systems, performing troubleshooting tasks, and collaborating with engineering teams. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in control systems programming and demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills. Qualifications

• 3 years experience with programming and commissioning of control systems.
• Niagara AX or N4 certification is a plus.
• Experience with multiple manufacturers of controls is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer control system hardware and software programming.
• Perform network troubleshooting and repair programming.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on system configuration.
• Provide owner training as required by the project.
• Supervise sub-contractors and suppliers as needed.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Programming skills

Strong analytical skills

Strong troubleshooting skills

Experience with electronics and basic electrical circuits

Ability to use appropriate tools

Excellent customer service

Knowledge of DDC Control Theory

Knowledge of common DDC communication protocols

Education

At least 3 years of experience with programming, startup and commissioning of control systems

Niagara AX or N4 certification

Experience with multiple manufacturers of controls

Technical knowledge with installation of controls equipment
