Job summary

Liberty Center YMCA in Box Elder is seeking a Building Cleanliness Technician to help keep our facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for members and visitors. You will perform custodial duties under supervision, maintain equipment, and support safety policies.

Requirements include at least 18 years old, six months of related experience, CPR/AED and First Aid within 30 days of hire, and ability to read and use electronic devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day custodial tasks under supervision, including distributing towels and monitoring locker rooms.

• Maintain equipment and supplies to minimize replacement costs.
• Develop positive relationships with volunteers, members, and staff to foster a welcoming environment.

As a Building Cleanliness Technician, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities, ensuring that every member and visitor experiences a welcoming and hygienic environment.

In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring full compliance with YMCA and OSHA safety policies and practices, maintaining equipment and supplies to minimize replacement costs, and completing assigned projects with accuracy and efficiency. You'll perform day-to-day custodial tasks under the guidance of your supervisor, including but not limited to distributing towels, monitoring locker rooms, and reporting maintenance issues promptly. Your ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with volunteers, members, and staff will be essential in creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all.

To qualify for this position, you must be at least 18 years old and possess six months or more of related experience, although we welcome applicants with varying levels of experience and backgrounds. Basic proficiency in reading and utilizing electronic devices is required, along with CPR/AED and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire. We're looking for individuals with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all walks of life.

This position offers flexible scheduling, with weekday and weekend shifts available.
