Job summary

JOB SQUAD, INC. is seeking a Janitor / Custodian to perform routine cleaning tasks and maintain sanitary conditions in the building. The role requires following a daily and weekly cleaning schedule and may involve operating various cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, and reporting low supplies. Some shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required, with government security clearance possibly needed.

Qualifications

• No specific education, training, or experience required; however, high school diploma preferred.
• Must be able to follow written or oral directions.
• Must be able to pick up and move objects weighing 50 lbs. or less.
• Government security clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Dust, mop, damp mop, and vacuum floors.
• Clean restrooms, empty trash, clean toilets/urinals/sinks, fill dispensers, sweep, mop, wipe walls and partitions.
• Clean glass, stair rails, and walls in corridors and stairwells.
• Wash lights and fixtures.
• Notify supervisor when supplies are low or there is equipment problem.
• Buff floors.
• Operate designated cleaning equipment.
• Maintain neat appearance and comply with uniform regulations.
