Job summary

ESS is seeking Building Based Substitute Teachers for Avonworth School District in Pittsburgh, PA. The position offers $125.00 per day with a possible $100 bonus and requires a Bachelor's Degree and PA teaching certification.

Substitute teachers will assist with classroom instruction in the absence of a regular teacher, follow lesson plans, aid student understanding, and maintain regular routines. Clearances and training are required for onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and PA Teacher Certification required.
• Clearances (Act 24, Act 34, Act 114, Act 151, Act 126, Act 168) required.
• Tuberculosis test/physical completed as part of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while regular teacher is absent.
• Review and implement regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives.
• Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
• Report student injuries, illness, and discipline problems to administration.
• Perform other duties as directed by school administration.
