Location: Bay Area or Sacramento, CA

Compensation: $45-60 an hour plus over time and full benefits.

About the Role:

A top-tier Building Automation and Energy Solutions provider is hiring Building Automation Technicians to join its growing service and installation team. This hands-on role is ideal for a field professional experienced with HVAC controls, low-voltage systems, or building automation looking for a stable, long-term career with full support and advancement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, wire, program, and troubleshoot building automation systems (BAS/BMS) and control panels
• Integrate and commission HVAC controls for commercial buildings
• Work with controllers, sensors, actuators, and field devices (DDC systems)
• Interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and project specifications
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and service staff to ensure systems are installed to spec
• Provide onsite diagnostics, maintenance, and support for existing systems

What We're Looking For:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in BAS/HVAC controls, low-voltage electrical, or mechanical systems
• Hands-on experience with DDC controls, wiring, and field startup
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical components
• Familiarity with BACnet, LonWorks, or Modbus protocols (preferred)
• Comfortable working independently in the field across customer sites
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
