Job Title

BAS Field Technician

A well established and growing Building Automation & HVAC Company based in New Jersey is actively seeking to add a BAS Field Technician for HVAC automation and building control systems maintenance, troubleshooting and repair to work within the Central & Northern New Jersey areas.

Responsibilities
  • Execute point-to-point check-out, maintenance, diagnostic, service and repair procedures on building automation systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair system panels, including communications equipment, circuit boards, power supplies, controls, sensors, and transducers
  • Diagnose and repair building automation systems, i.e. Supervisory Controllers, Field Controllers, Workstations, and other system components
  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibrating sensors, repair, and emergency service calls
  • Maintain project-related documentation
  • Technical training with any of the following: Johnson Controls, Automated Logic Controls, Siemens, or Honeywell Controls desired
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues in the field relating to Field Panels, TECs, DXRs, VFDs, and various other controllers.
Qualifications
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of two (2) or more years’ experience in the field of building automation controls and/or HVAC
  • Understanding of control logic
  • Understanding of the HVAC/mechanical/electrical construction industry
  • Knowledge of DDC control theory and applications pertaining to HVAC/Controls
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • BACnet certified a plus
