Job summary

Siemens Mobility is hiring a Systems Specialist for a remote role with extensive travel across the United States. The position involves installation, startup, and commissioning of building automation systems, ensuring alignment with design documents and operation sequences.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment.
• DDC (Direct Digital Controls) experience and PC/software skills.
• Ability to read and interpret design and construction documents.
• Willingness to climb ladders, scaffolds, and work in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, and above ceilings.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted and use hand tools, laptop, and mobile devices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work overtime and travel 75% of the time.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Commission new distributed digital control systems on construction sites within planned timelines.
• Plan work with Lead Technician and Team Leader.
• Assist with data backups and network performance testing.
• Support troubleshooting and configuration of PC workstations and user interfaces.
• Verify system operation and participate in final inspection and customer training.
• Submit routine reports and provide documents for as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for startup services and track time/expenses.

Our Systems Specialists participate in the installation, startup, and commissioning of building automation system equipment that has been newly installed and supports the verification of the system database and programming, ensuring consistency with the scope of work and sequence of operations. Our Systems Specialists are the face of Siemens, and your expertise and regular interaction with the customer will help them save energy and money, as well as create a more sustainable future for our environment. THIS POSITION REQUIRES 75% TRAVEL.

As a Systems Specialist , you will:

• Commission new distributed digital control systems on construction sites within planned timelines. Documents commissioning details;communicatesdeficiencies and progress
• Plan work with LeadTechnician, andTeam Leader
• Network technologies: Assists with data back-up from data servers and the creation of automated back-up procedures. Supports troubleshooting and resolution of inconsistencies in the functions or sequence of operations.Assistswith the set-up and configuration of PC workstations and user interfaces
• Support the confirmation of proper network performance
• Operational testing, verification, and acceptance: Runs routine reports to review system operation. Participates in final inspection and testing. Supports customer acceptance.Assistswith customer trainingonsystem operations
• Complete andsubmitroutinewrittenreports. Provides plans and control system documents to engineering for as-built drawings
• Project site communication and coordination: May support others in the scheduling of trade contractors to coordinate startup services. Submitsaccuratetime and expense reports
• Workovertime when needed(Compressed schedule performance can be a factor and will require extended hours to meet commitments)
• Work rotational on-call and/or minimal overnight travel
• Adhereto local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures.Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers

Basic Qualifications:

• 1+ yearsofexperience installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment

The pay range for this position is $49,195 - $84,334 annually.
