Job summary

Lee Mechanical is seeking a motivated BAS Assistant Project Manager to support temperature controls and building automation projects in Franklin. You will assist with planning, coordination, scheduling, procurement, documentation, and field support to ensure safe, efficient project delivery.

You will work with BAS Project Managers and Operations leadership to develop skills for progression into a BAS Project Manager role, and you will help ensure quality and safety standards are met across all

Qualifications

• Degree in CM, engineering, HVAC or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in BAS/HVAC controls or construction coordination preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with planning, coordination, and execution of BAS and temperature controls projects.
• Review project drawings, specifications, control sequences, and contract documents.
• Support project scheduling, material procurement, equipment tracking, and delivery coordination.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, field technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
• Monitor project progress and assist in resolving scheduling or field coordination issues.
• Help maintain project budgets, cost tracking, and labor reporting.
• Attend project meetings and communicate project updates with internal teams and customers.
• Support field technicians during installation, commissioning, startup, and system turnover.
• Assist with punch list completion, project closeout documentation, and final customer deliverables.
• Ensure projects are executed in accordance with Lee Mechanical’s safety and quality standards.
