Job summary

Siemens' Baltimore, MD branch is seeking a Systems Specialist to install, start up, and commission building automation equipment, ensuring the system aligns with the project scope and sequence.

You will work with the Lead Technician and Team Leader, document commissioning details, assist with network configuration, and support customer training. This is a hands-on role in a dynamic construction environment with safety and quality at the forefront.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with HVAC, controls, electrical, mechanical, automation, or related systems.
• Electro-mechanical experience and PC/software skills.
• Ability to read and interpret design and construction documents.
• Willing to work in ladders, scaffolds, ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, and other conditions.
• Must lift up to 75 pounds and use hand tools, laptop, phone, and tablet.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Commission new distributed digital control systems on construction sites within planned timelines. Documents commissioning details; communicates deficiencies and progress
• Plan work with Lead Technician, and Team Leader
• Assist with data back-up and network setup; configuration of PC workstations and user interfaces
• Support verification of proper network performance and system operations
• Prepare routine written reports and as-built drawings for engineering
• Coordinate startup services and scheduling of trade contractors
• Work overtime and possible overnight travel as needed
• Adhere to safety policies and work in a team environment
