Job summary

Siemens AG in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Systems Specialist to install, startup and commission building automation systems on project sites, ensuring documentation aligns with work scope and sequence of operations.

You will plan work with leads, support network performance, perform testing, train customers, submit reports, and coordinate startup services, with overtime and on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment.
• Electro-mechanical experience and user PC/software skills.
• On-the-job experience reading, understanding, and interpreting design and construction documents.
• Ability to work in varied environments including ladders, ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, and elevated areas.
• Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet, and carry tools up to 75 pounds.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must be 18+ and have a valid driver's license; eligible for Siemens fleet vehicle program.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Commission new distributed digital control systems on construction sites within planned timelines and document commissioning details.
• Plan work with Lead Technician and Team Leader.
• Assist with data backup and network performance, set up PC workstations and user interfaces.
• Support verification of system operations and resolve inconsistencies in sequences of operations.
• Perform operational testing, final inspections, and support customer acceptance and training.
• Prepare and submit routine written reports and provide system documents for as-built drawings.
• Coordinate startup services and time/expense reporting.
• Be prepared for overtime and on-call rotations as needed.
