Job Title: Building Automation Project Manager

Location: Columbus, OH

Job Overview

We seek an experienced and proactive Building Automation Project Manager to lead the delivery of advanced BAS (Building Automation System) projects in the Columbus, OH area. In this role, you will take ownership of full project lifecycles—from planning and design to execution and commissioning—ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery of intelligent building solutions that improve energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and operational performance. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of BAS projects, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Lead project planning, design reviews, resource coordination, and client communications.
• Oversee subcontractor activities, procurement, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain and update project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, and closeout materials.
• Coordinate field activities for installation, startup, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, lighting, and integrated automation systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, resolve project roadblocks and drive timely, cost-effective solutions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
• Stay current with evolving BAS platforms, energy codes, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Automation, or related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience managing BAS or MEP projects in commercial or institutional environments.
• Working knowledge of platforms such as Tridium, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, or Schneider Electric.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, DDC controls, low-voltage integration, and system commissioning processes.
• Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project, Excel, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• PMP certification or formal project management training is a plus.
