This position is primarily responsible for facility maintenance, cleanliness, setup, and general upkeep at Cultural Affairs facilities. The position will conduct regular facility and site visits to identify maintenance and operational needs and enter service requests into the City’s Facility Dude system. The Building Attendant will also assist with basic facility operations and support the Cultural Affairs Division with other arts, culture, and facility-related needs. The position will assist with major events and programs, including the Free Fridays Concert Series, Gainesville Great Pumpkin Bash, Downtown Festival and Art Show, Holiday Tree Lighting, and other special events as needed. This position averages approximately 20-25 hours per week, with hours scheduled based on program and event needs, including evenings and weekends.
