Be the friendly face and reliable presence that keeps our Recreation Center welcoming, clean, and organized. Join Dundee Township Park District as a Building Attendant and play a vital role in making sure our facilities are ready for programs, rentals, and guests.

As a Building Attendant, you’ll support a wide range of activities, from fitness classes and special events to private rentals and daily operations. This is a hands-on position where no two days are the same. If you’re dependable, organized, and enjoy helping others, this role is for you!
What You’ll Do:
• Supervise activity in public areas including gyms, lobbies, stairwells, locker rooms, and program rooms
• Support program and rental setups and takedowns
• Raise/lower gym equipment like basketball hoops and curtains as needed
• Perform occasional light custodial or maintenance tasks
• Assist with sidewalk salting/shoveling during snowy conditions
• Act as liaison between the Park District and rental groups
• Help supervise gym and track usage
• Provide tours and assist at the front desk when needed
• Accept and distribute facility deliveries
• Maintain a welcoming and safe environment for patrons and staff
• Uphold safety procedures and report any hazards or concerns
What You Bring:
• At least 1 year of experience working with the public
• Ability to lead with confidence and remain calm under pressure
• Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable giving direction and ensuring policies are followed
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
• Fluent in English (verbal and written); additional languages a plus
• Ability to safely lift/move items 50 lbs or more (with equipment/assistance as needed)
• Commitment to safety procedures and professionalism at all times

Schedule:
Weekday shifts vary.
Weekend availability required: Saturday or Sunday from 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Hours may vary based on rentals, events, or facility needs.
