The part-time Building Attendant position involves supporting event setup, teardown, housekeeping, show care, room sets, arena conversions, and grounds maintenance at the Iowa Events Center. The hourly wage is $14. Benefits include a 401(k) savings plan with matching for part-time roles. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis with no deadline.

Responsibilities include:

1. Set-up and teardown of events, including staging, tables, chairs, pipe-and-drape, skirting, and other event items across various facility areas.
2. Work individually and as part of a team to complete projects and maintain a professional environment.
3. Clean and disinfect facilities.
4. Complete room sets accurately and promptly.
5. Handle and set up various equipment and furniture, including chairs, tables, drapery, and skirting.
6. Use equipment safely, including mops, brooms, buffers, scrubbers, blowers, vacuums, and snow removal tools.
7. Use chemicals safely, following all safety standards and training.
8. Provide excellent guest service to clients and visitors.
9. Maintain excellent attendance, on-site presence, and contribute to a safe work environment.
10. Demonstrate experience with equipment and ability to work under high-pressure, high-attendance events.
11. Possess positive interpersonal skills and the ability to follow multi-step directions.
12. Work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
