Job summary

The Outreach Team in Los Angeles is hiring Community Canvassers and Team Leaders to mobilize voters for local city council campaigns. Roles pay 23–25 USD per hour, with overtime, bonuses, and a bilingual Spanish/English premium of +1 per hour.

Both full-time and part-time positions are available through 11/03, with weekday and weekend shifts from 12PM to 7:45 PM. Ideal candidates are passionate about democracy, strong communicators, and ready to lead small field teams.

Qualifications

• Deliver a compelling campaign message, and collect complete survey answers from voters
• Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills
• Follow the campaign's safety protocols
• The Canvasser Responsibilities plus:
• Manage a small group of canvassers out in the field by checking in with them periodically throughout the day, and debriefing with them at the end of the day
• Ensure each canvasser has all of the materials they need to be successful
• Assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work

Community Canvassers and Team Leaders Hiring Immediately - $23-25/hr + bonuses Full-time & Part-time

Help us turn out voters in Los Angeles! We are partnering with The Carpenter’s Union, who know what successful organizing and true leadership can accomplish. That’s why we’re working to turn out the vote for City Council candidates that share their values. Our campaign will be going door to door in CD-3 to help elect Barri Worth Girvan and CD-9 to help elect Jose Ugarte to the LA City Council in the fall midterm elections.

This role is a great opportunity to gain experience in the following areas: Leadership, Communication & Advocacy, Community Outreach & Engagement, Campaign Work, Public Policy, and Social Enterprise.

Get paid well! Canvassing positions start at $23/hour. Team Lead positions start at $25/hour. We offer overtime pay, shift bonuses, paid training, sick pay, and bonuses for friend referrals. If you are a fluent bilingual Spanish/English speaker, you will earn an additional $1 per hour.

We are hiring immediately, all positions run through 11/03 with possibilities for advancement afterwards. Shifts run from 12PM - 7:45 PM weekdays and weekends with the possibility to work part-time or full-time.
