Job summary

Lingo Staffing is seeking Builder/Production Associates in Powhatan, VA to join a hands-on manufacturing team. You will assemble roof, floor, and wall panels using lumber, hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.

Prior construction, carpentry, or manufacturing experience is a plus, and bilingual English/Spanish candidates are encouraged to apply. Entry-level applicants are welcome and must be comfortable with physical work, reading layouts, and performing basic math.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, carpentry, assembly or manufacturing is helpful.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Willingness to learn, cross-train, and work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish literacy encouraged.
• Comfort working with lumber and building materials and using hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

Lingo Staffing is now hiring Builder /Production Associates in the Powhatan, VA area to start ASAP!

Bilingual & Spanish-Speaking Candidates Encouraged to Apply!

Builders / Production Associates - Assemble building material components, including roof, floor, and wall panels. This is a hands‑on manufacturing position working with lumber, hand tools, power tools, and production equipment. Candidates with construction, carpentry, assembly, and manufacturing experience are encouraged to apply. Entry‑level candidates who are comfortable using tools and willing to learn are also welcome!

Pay & Schedule:

1st Shift - $18.00/hour

• Monday-Friday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM


• Overtime available, including Saturdays as needed

2nd Shift - $19.50/hour

• Monday-Thursday: 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM (10-hour Shifts)


• Friday overtime available as needed

Job Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Assemble roof, floors, wall panels, and other building components


• Previous truss building, construction, carpentry, framing, manufacturing, or assembly experience is a plus.


• Position, clamp, splice, and fit lumber according to production specifications


• Follow blueprints, cut sheets, layouts, and supervisor instructions


• Measure and verify dimensions of lumber and other materials


• Use hammers, nail guns, other hands and power tools


• Position metal reinforcement plates over connecting joints


• Operate assigned press stations to properly secure plates onto lumber


• Inspect completed products for accuracy and quality


• Identify damaged or incorrect materials before assembly


• Comfortable working with lumber and building materials


• Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools


• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math


• Ability to follow measurements, layouts, and work instructions


• Must be dependable with a strong work ethic


• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team


• Willingness to learn and cross‑train in different production areas


• Ability to read and write in English or Spanish


• Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are encouraged to apply


• Must be able to perform physical, hands‑on work throughout the shift


• Ability to stand, squat, and bend for extended periods.


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.


• Reliable transportation.
