Job summary

Dal-Tile Distribution, Inc. in the United States seeks a Builder Specialist to grow product sales within the assigned territory.

You will develop new business with large national and regional home offices of builders and design centers, and work with internal sales, builder, and design teams to enhance and drive residential sales. Responsibilities include servicing large builders and design centers, prospecting new customers, coordinating with Marketing on trends and programs, and leading

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 2-4 years relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Service very large builders, design centers, and residential designers by making sales calls and merchandising programs.
• Prospect, secure, and register large new builder customers and develop relationships with design centers and interior designers.
• Coordinate with Marketing to communicate trends and competitive products to customers.
• Communicate current information regarding products, merchandising programs, and builder agreements to internal teams.
• Lead builder tracking meetings, participate in trade shows, and hold product knowledge seminars for builders and designers.
• Develop relationships with builder customers and purchasing agents to understand their business practices.
• Develop knowledge of new single and multi-family construction in the region.
• Perform other duties as needed.

TheBuilder Specialistis an established performer that works toincrease product sales within the assigned territory.This role is responsible for developingnew business,working with very large national and regional home offices of builders and design centersas well asinternal sales, builder, and design teams to enhance and drive residential sales.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position

• Service very large existing builders,designcenters, and residential interior designers by making sales calls, developing business relationships, keeping them apprised of products, and merchandising programs.

• Prospect, secure, and register large new buildercustomersas well as develop business relationships with new design center managers and interior designers.

• Coordinate with ourMarketing team to communicatetrends and competitive productsthrough product andmerchandisingreviews with customers.

• Communicatecurrent information regarding registered builderproducts,merchandisingprograms, and builder agreement parametersto internal team.

• Lead regular builder trackingmeetings, participate in regional or national trade shows,and hold product knowledge seminars for builders and designers.

• Establish workingrelationshipswith all builder customersandpurchasingagents for those builders to ensure thatthere isa complete working knowledge of their business practices andprotocol.

• Develop an in-depth knowledge and expertise regarding all new single and multi-family construction in the region.

• Perform other duties as needed.

Required Experience and Education

• Bachelors degree in a related fieldor equivalent education and/or experience.

• 2-4 years relevant experienceor equivalent education and/or experience.

• Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.

• Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.

• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

• High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.

• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.

• The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
