Job summary

Caldwell Companies in Houston, TX seeks a Caldwell Homes Builder to lead day-to-day construction of single-family homes. You will own on-site activities, coordinate trade partners, and ensure work meets plans, codes, and Caldwell Homes’ quality standards.

You will monitor safety, manage logs and inspections, work with customers, and help uphold the Caldwell Homes brand across projects. A bachelor’s degree in construction and hands-on residential experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations for assigned homes and walk each home regularly to monitor progress and quality.
• Coordinate subcontractors and vendors, set clear expectations, and follow up to keep work moving.
• Confirm construction follows approved plans, specifications, applicable codes, and Caldwell Homes’ quality standards.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized jobsites.
• Use company construction management systems to track activity, maintain daily logs, and complete inspection reports.
• Prepare homes for inspections, identify issues early, and see them through to resolution.
• Work with customers throughout the construction process, representing Caldwell Homes with professionalism, care, and respect.
• Support Design Center efforts and uphold the Caldwell Homes brand in every customer and trade partner interaction.
• Take ownership of the details and follow through on commitments from the start of construction through completion.
