AXIS Capital is seeking an Underwriter – Builder’s Risk in the U.S. Construction team. The role focuses on Builder’s Risk (Project and Master) with growth, broker and customer relationships, and adherence to underwriting guidelines.

The position can be based in Midwest or West Coast offices. The candidate should have 3–10 years in Builder’s Risk or related underwriting, with strong communication and analytical skills to assess risks and drive portfolio profitability.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of Builder’s Risk, Property, or Commercial Insurance underwriting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Builder's Risk coverage and pricing principles.
• Ability to analyze and communicate underwriting concepts to varied audiences.
• Capable of managing routine underwriting tasks independently in a team.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite builder's risk and related portfolios under delegated authority.
• Develop broker and customer relationships to drive growth and retention.
