Job summary

Mill Creek Carpet and Tile, a division of Mill Creek Lumber & Supply Company, is seeking a reliable Builder Outside Carpet Sales representative in Tulsa, OK. This full-time role emphasizes expanding existing accounts and growing new business within a fast-paced, family-oriented environment.

You will make service and sales calls, perform take-offs at residential sites, and coordinate orders with Install Manager, Designer, and Operations.

Qualifications

• Sales experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills including telephone, computer, and face-to-face interactions.
• Ability to plan, organize and maintain accurate records.
• A valid driving record as determined by the company.
• Ability to travel to various customer job sites daily.
• Ability to maintain favorable relations with coworkers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Make service calls and expand existing accounts by improving product mix and margins.
• Make sales calls and develop new customer accounts.
• Take-offs and site visits at residential jobs during construction.
• Schedule orders and coordinate with Install Manager, Designer, and Operations.
• Assist Credit Manager in keeping customers' accounts up to date.
• Maintain effective communication with customers and internal teams.
• Attend Sales Training Programs as directed.
• Perform other duties as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Make service calls, maintain, and expand existing accounts by improving product mix, improving gross margins, or other means.
• Make sales calls, grow and develop new customer accounts.
• Perform take offs and walk residential job sites at different times throughout the construction process.
• Schedule orders and coordinate with Install Manager, Designer and Operations.
• Assist Credit Manager in keeping customers' accounts up to date.
• Maintain effective communication with customers at different levels of the customers business, to include installers, purchasing agents, superintendents, owner/manager, etc.
• Attend Sales Training Programs as directed.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Sales Experience is preferred.
• Good communications skills to include the use of telephone, computer, and face to face interaction.
• Ability to plan, organize and maintain accurate records, to include notes from discussions with both customers and managers.
• A safe driving record as determined by Company.
• Ability to travel to various customer job sites as needed on a daily basis, several times per day.
• The ability to maintain favorable relations with co-workers and customers.
