Job summary

Armstrong Group in San Antonio, TX is seeking an installer for new construction to complete low voltage wiring for residential smart home and security products. You will interpret housing plans and trim wire runs as options expand, while working on construction sites and adhering to safety standards.

You’ll collaborate with project managers and contractors, maintain inventory, and ensure schedules and work orders are completed accurately.

Position Summary

As a member of our new construction operations team, you will be responsible for completing low voltage wiring runs for a variety of residential products. As the construction phase progresses, you'll trim these wire runs to accommodate specific build options, including smart home and security devices, audio and entertainment systems, and more.

You'll need to interpret housing plans accurately to run wires in a construction environment. A strong commitment to delivering high-quality installations that welcome new homeowners, while adhering to company standards and safety regulations, is essential.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical Demands : Include but not limited to standing, walking, working from high places, climbing ladders and navigating through small tight areas .


• Inclement Environment : The position is working within homes under construction, without HVAC, meaning working temperatures are subject to seasonal fluctuations. Both warm and cold weather uniforms are provided.


• Equipment Handling : Use ladders, power tools and move equipment between worksites as needed.


• Lifting : Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. without assistance.
