Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Build Engineer for the Crew Starship program. You will own the build and integration of crew spaceflight hardware, develop high-rate manufacturing processes, and drive design reviews with suppliers and customers.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, GD&T knowledge, and experience with aerospace structures. Travel to remote build sites is possible; this is a hands-on, fast-paced position working from our Hawthorne facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own the project management, planning, build, and integration of next generation crew spaceflight hardware.
• Develop manufacturing processes, techniques, and tools to enable high-rate manufacturing for the Crew Starship vehicle.
• Question requirements, delete parts and processes, simplify/optimize, accelerate, and automate hardware production.
• Coordinate and execute build, qualification, and acceptance testing of systems and tooling to meet deadlines.
• Create original CAD models and prints for flight and/or tooling components.
• Participate in design reviews with suppliers and customers.
