Job summary

Omega Bio-tek is seeking a Buffer Associate I to support the Production Department by preparing buffers for in-house use and for finished products. You will follow buffer recipes per SOP, prepare stock buffers, and purify them through filtration systems, with emphasis on accurate measurements and traceable documentation.

Ideal candidates hold a BS/MS in life sciences, have 1+ year lab experience, and can obtain full-face respirator certification on hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in life sciences or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of prior laboratory experience.
• Ability to obtain full-face respirator certification on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist buffer production by following established SOPs and buffer recipes.
• Prepare stock buffers from raw chemicals and purify through filtration systems.
• Measure pH and take analytical readings of buffers; prepare components for magnetic particle manufacturing.
• Complete documentation for traceability and generate clear reports.
• Interact with senior staff to review progress and present results.

Job description

The Buffer Associate I will support the Production Department by preparing buffers for in-house use and finished products.

What you will do:

• Play a key role in buffer making process
• prepare stock buffers from raw chemicals; purify buffers through filtration systems
• pH buffers and take analytical measurements of buffers; prepare chemical components for Magnetic particles manufacturing
• Follow buffer recipe according to SOP to properly produce components
• Complete all required documentation for proper traceability
• Generate clear and concise reports
• Interact with senior laboratory personnel to review progress and present results
• Follows company, industry, state, federal safety standards are being followed including OSHA, EPA, and waste management
• Maintain laboratory, cleaning,maintenanceand safety per SOPs
• Follow established company SOP and ISO 9001 guidelines

What you will need:

• BS or MS degree in life science field or equivalent experience
• 1+ years ofpreviousexperience in laboratory setting or similar experience
• Able to obtain full face respirator certification upon hire
