Qualifications

• DO degree from COCA-accredited college; MD, DPT, DC, PA may also be considered.
• Competence across OMT modalities taught in the pre-clinical curriculum.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for adult learners and teamwork in a lab.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a table trainer during scheduled OMM labs, supervising groups of students (6–10).
• Demonstrate osteopathic structural examination and OMT techniques per course director.
• Observe students and provide hands-on guidance with feedback on palpation, technique, body mechanics, and safety.
• Integrate osteopathic philosophy with anatomy, physiology, and clinical reasoning in instruction.
• Model professionalism, including draping, consent, and respectful contact.
• Assist with practical exams, competency checks, and OSCEs with rubric-based scoring.
• Identify students needing remediation and refer to the course director for support.
• Attend pre-lab calibration sessions to ensure consistent instruction.
• Review materials and complete grading and feedback within deadlines.
• Maintain FERPA compliance and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
