Job description

A community hospital in Buffalo, NY is expanding its hospitalist team and seeking a Physician Assistant to join the night shift on a 7 on / 7 off schedule. This well-established hospitalist program features strong support, modern facilities, and an excellent collaborative environment.

Position Highlights:

  • Night shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
  • 7 on / 7 off block schedule
  • Join a team of 12 physicians and 6 APPs
  • Night team includes one nocturnist and 1 APP
  • Average 4–6 admissions per night per APP
  • Cross-coverage for a census of ~100 patients
  • No codes (Code Blue Team in place)
  • No procedures; closed ICU with 24/7 intensivist coverage
  • Physicians handle Rapid Responses (APPs are not responsible)
  • EPIC EMR system
  • Extensive subspecialty support on-site

Requirements:

  • NCCPA Certification
  • Inpatient hospitalist experience required

Compensation:

  • Base salary of $160,000
  • Productivity incentive potential
