Job summary

Vireo Health of Rocky Mountain is seeking a Budtender at our LivWell location in Denver, CO. You will provide exceptional customer service, share in-depth product knowledge, and create a welcoming, educational shopping experience for every guest.

You will assist with store operations, handle cash transactions using our POS system, stay compliant with state regulations, and keep product displays neat and up to date. Prior retail or cannabis knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prior retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cannabis products is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

What we offer:

• Compensation: $20.83/hr per hour, including tips*

As a Budtender, you play an integral role in providing exceptional customer service, offering in-depth product knowledge, and ensuring a positive and educational shopping experience for our valued customers. What impact you’ll make:

• Extend a warm and professional welcome to customers, attentively listening to their unique preferences and requirements


• Offer expert insights and personalized product recommendations tailored to individual preferences and usage scenarios


• Educate customers about the advantages, potential effects, and safe consumption methods of diverse cannabis products, ensuring they make informed choices


• Store Operations and Compliance (30%)


• Uphold the appeal of our store environment, keeping it neat and visually enticing, and maintaining well‑organized product displays


• Stay updated on industry trends, the latest product releases, and ever‑evolving regulations to provide accurate and timely information to customers


• Efficiently manage cash transactions and utilize our point‑of‑sale system for streamlined sales processing


• Demonstrate unwavering adherence to all company policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance with state and local regulations


• Communication and Team Collaboration (20%)


• Collaborate seamlessly with your fellow team members to cultivate a positive, customer‑centric work atmosphere


• Provide valuable support to the Management Team in various store activities and operations, including customer assistance, checkouts, and cash handling


• Embrace other duties as assigned by the Management Team to ensure a cohesive and efficient team dynamic

Please note that the percentage allocations are a general estimate and may vary based on business needs and priorities. Additional duties may be required as needed to support overall operations.

What you’ve accomplished:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred


• Must be at least 21 years of age


• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred


• Knowledge of cannabis and its products is a plus


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment


• Proficient in cash handling and accurate basic math calculations


• Reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong work ethic


• Working Conditions (Schedule, Environment, Travel)


• Ability to lift 25 lbs. or more multiple times per day


• Stores are open 7 days a week from 8:00 am – 11:45 pm (varying by location), nights, weekends & holidays


• The schedule will vary depending on the needs of the business


• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in the state of Colorado
