Nectar Markets is seeking a Budtender for our Daly City cannabis dispensary. You will greet customers, recommend products, and guide them to purchase items that fit their needs while promoting our deals and rewards program.

Role focuses on accurate POS usage, cash handling, compliance with ID and medical card checks, and maintaining a welcoming store environment. Growth and team orientation are emphasized in this busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Lift up to 40 pounds and stand for full shifts.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Open availability including weekends/holidays.
• Willing to complete Live Scan Background Check.
• Exceptional customer service in retail.
• Desire to learn cannabis products and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide educated product recommendations to customers.
• Promote Nectar deals, rewards program, and customer satisfaction.
• Keep store tidy, safe, and inviting for customers and team.
• Ensure sales floor is stocked and store well-maintained.
• Explain deals and promotions clearly to customers.
• Input Recreational and Medical customer info accurately and confidentially.

About the role:

As a Budtender, you are the face of Nectar! You are responsible for ensuring each customer leaves our stores with the right products they need and a desire to come back and visit us. Our Budtenders are the key to ensuring our customers have a positive experience in our stores, whether they are new customers or one of our existing long-term regulars.

Budtender Responsibilities:

• Enhancing the customer experience by providing educated product recommendations.
• Embracing the Nectar culture by promoting our deals, rewards program, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintaining a tidy, safe, and inviting store environment for team members and customers.
• Ensure the sales floor is properly stocked and that the store is well-maintained.
• Promoting a positive work environment that is customer service-oriented, and compliant with established policies and procedures.
• Maintain and continuously expand on knowledge of our products, brands and vendors.
• Accurately utilize the Point of Sale (Dutchie POS) in person and for online/phone orders.
• Detailed and accurate cash handling and proper application of various discounts.
• Strong understanding of our deals and promotions to effectively explain them to customers.
• Maintains accuracy and confidentiality when inputting Recreational and Medical customer information into our system to conduct sales.
• Verifying customers' Identification and/or Medical cards before each sale to ensure compliance.
• Other miscellaneous store duties vary depending on the location and store needs at any given moment, as assigned by the Management Team.

Compensation:

• This role starts at $18.00 an hour plus nightly cash tips.
• Promotion opportunities for key holder roles early on.
