You will stay informed on new cannabis products, educate patients on safe use, check IDs, process payments, and maintain compliance and inventory. This role emphasizes customer service, product knowledge, and teamwork within a compliant retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Proven experience working as a Budtender is preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass a background check and receive a facility agent card from the state.
• Sound knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Work well with other team members.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and assists with product selections.
• Provides recommendations based on needs, preferences, budgets and strains.
• Keeps abreast of new cannabis products and industry trends.
• Processes payments using the POS system.
• Keeps the store clean and well-organized.
• Educates patients on safe use of products.
• Weighs, packages and labels cannabis products.
• Checks IDs to verify legal age and credentials for entry and purchase.
• Takes inventory and ensures adequate stock on the floor.
• Completes opening and closing tasks and maintains compliance with policies and state regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
