Job summary

Syracuse University seeks a Finance Systems Analyst to support Hyperion Planning and Essbase environments and PeopleSoft Financials. The role combines functional and technical work on budgeting, data modeling, and reporting to university leaders.

The position will design, build, implement, and maintain system enhancements, develop queries and reports, and work with university-wide stakeholders to deliver accurate financial analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in MIS, Accounting, Computer Science or a related field; 5+ years of experience preferred.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data tools (Tableau/Power BI).
• Experience with Hyperion Planning & Essbase and PeopleSoft Financials is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply university financial policies; manage resources and projects in a data-driven environment.
• Develop and maintain data and reporting tables for Budget Directors and OBP personnel.
• Create and review financial reports for monthly analysis and provide analytics to leadership.
