Job summary

The City of Irving is looking for a procurement and budget analyst to support bid specifications, contract management, payroll, and budget administration. You will work closely with staff, vendors, and other city departments to maintain accurate budget files and related databases.

The position requires an Associate degree or equivalent and at least two years of related experience, plus advanced computer skills, including MS Excel and strong financial analysis abilities.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate degree or equivalent and two years of directly related experience.
• Advanced computer proficiency, including knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications and strong financial analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bid specifications and proposals for procurement.
• Assist with budget preparation and administration.
• Process payments, disbursements and invoices; reconcile accounts.
• Provide light administrative support to the Chief Technology Officer and prepare reports and Council agenda items.
