Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking two full-time Financial Analysts to work on-site in the Arlington Falls Church, VA area. You will support PPBE activities for the Office of the Undersecretary of War for Acquisition and Sustainment, providing budget execution, spend plans, and timely updates for leadership.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field, U.S. citizenship, and a SECRET clearance, with 2–4 years of financial experience.

Competenze

Bachelor's degree required.
U.S. citizen required.
Minimum 2–4 years of relevant financial experience.
Foundational understanding of PPBE process, budget formulation, budget execution, spend plan management, and execution-year monitoring.
Familiarity with major appropriation types (O&M, RDT&E, Procurement).
Strong attention to detail and ability to write clear staff updates (BLUF).

Mansioni

Assist in PPBE budget formulation and execution for the office’s appropriated budget.
Maintain and update Spend Plan and reconciliations, ensuring contract and vendor data is tracked.
Monitor execution metrics against fiscal goals and alert leadership to shortfalls.
Draft variance reports and justifications when targets are not met.
Reconcile financial records with official accounting systems with senior analysts.
